Ample Hills Creamery Book

Once upon a time, there were cows in Brooklyn and the cows grazed on Brooklyn's ample, lush hills.  Brian, a struggling screenwriter, and Jackie, an alternative high school teacher, opened their neighborhood ice cream shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, uncertain of the path ahead.  Today, Ample Hills Creamery attracts thousands of visitors with its homemade, homespun creations: Salted Crack Caramel, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, The Munchies.  Now you can skip the line and make their famous ice cream at home!  This one-of-a-kind cookbook blends adventure story and recipe book -- humble beginnings and your wildest dreams -- making a cookbook fanciful, and a children's book edible.

Join us on our journey through the wacky, creative world of ice cream.  Brian Smith and Jackie Cuscuna live in Brooklyn with their two children, Nonna Kai and Kaleo.  Lauren Kaelin is an illustrator who eats ice cream professionally.  She is the coauthor of When Parents Text and the creator of the popular blog Benjameme: an excuse to paint the internet.  She lives in Brooklyn with her girlfriend and their tortoise.
