A Spectacularly Spooky Halloween

Things are getting spooky over at Exit9...

All Hallows Eve Approaches...

We're wishing you a spectacularly spooky holiday this October.

No matter what you do this season, Exit9 is here with some frightening ideas to make this season spectacularly spooky.

Halloween is creeping around the corner and we all know it’ll be looking a bit different this year. Perhaps a game of Splendor by candlelight under the cloak of darkness or some scary movies over a heaping bowl of fresh eyeballs and a cup of warm blood? Maybe it’s a small gathering with your closest acquaintances or some socially distant Trick-or-Treating adorned in skeleton masks? Also: We think the Exit9 basement may be haunted… See the footage for yourself.

We've gathered some board games for you to play as the nights get darker. Try to stop the spread of lethal viruses that threaten to wipe out entire populations in Pandemic. (Sound familiar??) Or Choose Your Own Adventure in the War With the Evil Power Master and stop him from destroying the Lacoonian System.

It wouldn’t be Halloween without some witchy wares. Our site’s been loaded up with astrology books, crystals, and all things magick to kickstart the autumnal season. Maybe take up tarot and learn to give yourself a reading with the Wild & Unknown Tarot or find out about your astrological match made in heaven with The Astrology of Love & Sex book. Soothe yourself   with one of the seven BIOS Apothecary Chakra Oils that each correspond to, target, and balance a specific chakra.

Read some chilling tales with The Big Book of New York Ghost Stories or Cursed in New York. And if reading isn’t your thing, check out some of these blood-curdling podcasts on Spotify to get you in a sinister mood.

And whether you’re in Brooklyn or the East Village (or anywhere in the world for that matter), you can attend the Annual Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade. It’ll be virtual this year, so hop on with your pooch any time between 12pm-3pm on October 24th to catch all the haunted hounds in their getups.
