We are Exit9 Gift Emporium.  Come Grow with us!  We are looking for an experienced sales associate who can comfortably operate within a museum-like retail gift store. We have two locations, one in Brooklyn (Boerum Hill), and one in Manhattan (East Village).  Exit9 can be a very fun place to work, however, like any job, there is important work to be done. You must be able to multi-task in a (sometimes) high paced environment. We are hiring for both locations. If you've read this far, you get 10 points.

Job duties include typical selling floor operations like:

• Being friendly: Properly greeting and engaging with customers.
• Generating sales: Engaging with customers is very important.  Customers need help finding what they are looking for. Even the customers who don't know what they are looking for need our help understanding what we have. Customer engagement is highly important.  
  
• Product Knowledge - We have all types of products.  Learning all these products is a skill unto it's self. You must have the curiosity and drive to learn about new items.  Only then is one able to effectively sell it. 
  
• Tidy and Clean: Keeping the product well stocked and straightened, and keeping the selling floor neat and clean.

Physical requirements:  Exit9 does not provide sitting jobs. There is lots of standing and moving around. You must be able to bend down, lift up to 30lbs, standing/walking during your shift, climbing ladders and stairs as needed.
